Project Description
The project consists of two new mews houses on a site with a fantastic view of Ireland's Eye and Howth Harbour.
The houses are energy-efficient, modern in design, sustainable, and take advantage of the site and its views. The design was deliberately low to avoid impacting the views from the adjoining street, even though those views are not protected. The houses are south-facing, with high super-insulated walls, triple-glazed windows, a geothermal heating system, and heat-recovery ventilation, and are designed to achieve an A2 BER rating.
Ireland's Eye is a well-known landmark visible from many parts of Dublin city and county, and the houses were designed to make best use of this feature as well as taking advantage of the views across Howth Harbour.
