It's not very often that a site like this comes along. Taking advantage of a narrow view towards Ireland's Eye the design of the house takes advantage of this key feature through a number of measures. Supported by the sloping topology of the site, we located the main living spaces at the upper level ensuring there was little to obstruct this key view. While avoiding potential overlooking issues, it made sense to maximise the transparency at this level. To sit the design within the site and contrast with the transparency of the first floor a solid base was created employing the local stone and a stepped landscaping design.
